Abacus is an Associate member of the British Franchise Association (BFA) and is the only accountancy network that is specifically for qualified accountants.

abacus was incorporated in September 2004 and to-date has over 50 accountancy practices in the UK representing the network.

Background:

Overview started working with abacus back in 2004. abacus recognised the benefit of Overview’s close relationship with business database providers, and that this data would prove vital for the underpinning of the franchise territory creation.

Solution:

Overview helped develop a very specific set of criteria so that the territories created would truly reflect an equal opportunity for each incoming franchisee. This criterion was based on the existing customer base of the business and continues to be used today. The success of this criterion is proven by the fact that abacus purchase the business records that sit behind this division which are then used to generate appointments for the franchisees in their territory. Whilst the original project was a Turn Key Solution where the entire UK was divided up, abacus now also utilise the Web Solution. The web solution is used mainly to create maps or hyperlinks for individual territories to show prospective franchisees the territories that are available.
